Happy Gilmore has had a successful golf career, winning multiple championships and having five children with his wife, Virginia Venit. However, tragedy strikes early in the film when Virginia is accidentally killed by one of Happy’s powerful drives during a golf tournament. This devastating event sends Happy spiraling into alcoholism and he loses everything, including his late grandmother’s house. He’s left with his five children, including his youngest daughter, Vienna, who is an aspiring ballet dancer.
